Our next volunteer event will be held Saturday, June 5 at LaSalle Park in Buffalo. We will be helping Heart of the City Neighborhoods host a fund-raiser: their first annual kick ball tournament, featuring teams from non-profit organizations throughout Western New York.

The event starts at 1 PM and we will need hands at about 11AM. We will be setting up tents, a grill, banners and signs, etc.

Heart of the City Neighborhoods mission is to create, facilitate and support housing and neighborhood development in the central core of the City of Buffalo . This is accomplished by creating programs to improve the quality of residential housing, assisting private developers, neighborhood leaders, the City and other not-for-profit organizations to develop sustainable projects to improve Lower West Side neighborhoods.

The event itself is a fundraiser for Heart of the City Neighborhoods, featuring local non-for-profits across WNY, community members, and friends and family. The two day tournament, held at LaSalle Park , includes hotdogs, soda, beer, and water. It is a family fun event, and a great healthy way to kick off the summer!
