Season's Greetings! As 2010 comes to a close, I would like to personally thank all Buffalo-area Cornellians for the effort, time, and resources they have committed to both our region and our University over the past year. Together we have welcomed four faculty members from Ithaca to our city, cleaned one of our area's vital waterways, sent-off newly minted Cornellians to Ithaca with true Cornell hospitality, raised thousands of dollars in support of our scholarship fund, and connected with old friends and new at our myriad social gatherings. We've cheered on our Big Red basketball team to the Sweet Sixteen, toasted the bounties of the Western New York harvest, and met with countless applicants eager to take advantage of all of the opportunities that Cornell affords. But as exciting as 2010 was for our Club, the coming year holds even more promise as the Club strengthens and expands its leadership base and ventures into more diverse and exciting programs for area alumni. For those of you who did not have the opportunity to attend one of our events in the past year, I do hope you make a New Year's resolution to attend a gathering next year. I look forward to meeting you in 2011! Along with the Club's Board of Directors, I wish you and your loved ones a healthy and happy holiday season. And please enjoy our slideshow featuring highlights from the past year along with a poem from Cornell poet A.R. Ammons. With my regards to Davy, Matthew Peter Nagowski '05
