The Cornell Club of Greater Buffalo is pleased to announce its second annual Essay Competition and Book Award. The competition is open to all eleventh grade high school students in the greater Buffalo area. The Club believes that participation in this contest will aid students in the development of their critical thinking and writing skills.

The first prize will consist of a certificate, a letter of award and a limited edition copy of Cornell University's Reading Initiative book of the past year, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick and $100. Second, and third prizes, as well as honorable mentions consist of the book, certificate and letter, but no cash prize. There will be one first prize awarded, and as many second prizes honorable mentions as the Club sees fit.
