Buffalo River Cleanup -- Saturday April 16th! The Cornell Club will be participating in the Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper Spring Shoreline Sweep. Volunteers will help to protect our region's vital natural resource by cleaning up trash and restoring the natural habitat of the Buffalo River shoreline. Whether safely on dry land, up to your knees in water, or safely in a boat*, you'll have fun, meet fellow Cornellians, and do your part to keep our waterways clean. This is a family-friendly event, but children under 18 must have a parent/guardian present. The cleanup runs from 9:00-12:00 Saturday April 16th at the Harlem Road Fishing Access site. Participants are invited to a volunteer appreciation even hosted by the Buffalo-Niagara Riverkeeper from 12:00-3:00, site TBA Donuts or bagels and coffee will be provided at the cleanup, but bring your own reusable mug so we don't create extra trash! The map below is to the Tops plaza immediately south of the access site (800 Harlem Road, West Seneca for those of you with GPS): Questions or RSVP to Chris Sasiadek '05: c.sasiadek@gmail.com * boat not include, but please feel free to bring your own canoe, kayak or row boat! |
