Help Support City Honors By Promoting Cornell! Bill Kresse PhD '04, Principal of City Honors High School in the City of Buffalo, graciously supported the Cornell Club of Greater Buffalo this spring by allowing us to host our accepted students reception at his beautifully renovated facility. Now the Club has the opportunity to help Dr. Kresse and City Honors by promoting Cornell to City Honors students. ![]() City Honors is currently running a fundraising campaign to prominently display college names and insignias throughout the school's hallways on gold-inscribed plaques mounted upon beautiful oak refuse receptacles handcrafted by Roycroft carpenters. The Club hopes to join such schools as Georgetown, Holy Cross, and Syracuse in supporting this campaign by coordinating Cornell alumni donations to sponsor a plaque inscribed with Cornell's insignia and a note from Cornell alumni. The cost of sponsorship is $750. Alumni or other individuals interested in helping to support this effort should get in touch with Club President Matthew Nagowski '05 at nagowski(at)cornell.edu, indicating the amount they would like to donate. Suggested donation amounts include $25, $50, or $100. The Club is also pleased to announce a challenge grant of $100: If $650 is raised the Club will donate the additional $100 to secure the gift. Once our $750 goal has been reached, donors will be notified and payment can be remitted directly to the City Honors Foundation, either through check or Paypal. If over $750 is raised, donors will have the choice of donating excess pledges either to City Honors or the Cornell Club of Greater Buffalo's endowment for student scholarships. Interested sponsors should get in touch with Matt no later than June 15th. Questions or concerns? Please contact Matt at nagowski(at)cornell.edu or City Honors representative David Cohen at dgc@dgcohen.com |
