What's Terroir?: Johnson Estate Winery Walk, Tour, and Tasting -- August 27th

Johnson Estate Winery, a Cornellian-owned winery and the oldest estate winery in New York State -- celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2011 -- is located in one of the great grape-growing regions of North America, known as America's Grape Country. Its wines are influenced by a unique combination of geography, soils, slope, weather, and agriculture, known as terroir.

Join the Cornellian owners and winemaker on this tour of the vineyards and winery on our century-old farm. Sample wines from the same vineyards you see and touch. Learn of our unique soil compositions, microclimate, and revel in the breathtaking vistas of Lake Erie, with wine glass in hand. Wine tastings, including Vidal Ice Wine, and food pairings included.
