Becker Farms & Vizcarra Vineyards 100-Mile Meal & Scholarship Dinner Sunday November 6th Join the Cornell Club of Greater Buffalo on Sunday November 6th for a delectable meal at this Cornellian-owned farm and winery. The evening will open with a cash bar to allow attendees to enjoy Vizcarra Vineyards and Becker Brewing Co. beverages while mingling with other Cornellians and Buffalonians. This will be followed by dinner featuring several courses of wine and food pairings, with all ingredients sourced from within a 100 mile radius of Becker Farms. Dr. Peter Horvath, Associate Professor, Department of Exercise and Nutritional Science, School of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Buffalo will join us to close the evening and speak to attendees about the nutritional advantages of organic and local foods. Having earned his MS in Nutrition and Ecology as well as his PhD in Human Nutrition from Cornell University, Dr. Horvath now teaches at the University at Buffalo and performs research in the field of exercise nutrition as it relates to cardiovascular health and athletic performance.
