There are over 2000 living Cornell alumni located in the Buffalo metropolitan area representing Erie and Niagara Counties, with more in the outlying areas of Western New York and Southern Ontario. The area alumni base comprises doctors, architects, lawyers, students, farmers, social workers, professors, judges, veterinarians, educators, restaurateurs, CEOs, homemakers, and retirees. All area alumni, students, parents, and friends of the University are automatically considered members of the Club and are welcome to participate in all club activities and programmatic efforts. Alumni and students will often receive discounts on club events. A benefactor program allows the Club to raise and retain working capital to develop activities for alums and entering students. Benefactors (if inclined) are noted in club correspondence and will be the first to be invited to special events and serve on select committees for the Club. Sustaining benefactors enjoy these benefits for five years, while lifetime benefactors retain these privileges in perpetuity. If you are interested in becoming a benefactor of the Cornell Club of Greater Buffalo and paying by check, please contact Treasurer Rich Scherer '07 .
